If Lucius-bloody-Malfoy wins any sort of award, I may have to boycott the event on sheer principle. Not to mention prepare for the upcoming apocolypse. Nonetheless, I suppose there should be some comfort in knowing that politics survived the war, hale and hearty.

Goes to show, money really can buy everything.

Still not comitting anything terribly important to this book. I don't think I'll ever be fond of journaling again. Scrapbooks are a safer way of keeping memories. It is however a useful way to keep track of friends and family.

Congratulations to the nominees. Except for the above-mentioned who I shall make an exception for.

I'm drafting a letter to the Minister about issuing some sort of award to Madame Pomfrey for her organization of the medical folks at Hogwarts. If any of you would like to contribute, let me know and perhaps we can collect the letters and have them dropped in a large pile on his desk some morning.

Still living with the twins, still juggling work and school at St. Mungo's, still dating Harry, still searching for better cures for lycanthropy.

Still an idealist.

All of which is good at least to me.

Honestly, I think that if the twins sent forth a bunch of their mis-quote quills to the Daily Prophet, there'd be better things coming out in the paper. What absolute rubbish. I'm trying to dredge up shock or outrage but I'll I'm feeling is vaguely jaded over the whole thing. It did, however, manage to print that I'll be back at work on Monday so perhaps one true statement in the midst of a great deal of nonsense actually isn't too terrible averages for the Prophet.

I really should cancel my subscription to the ruddy paper, but how will I know what I'm to?

Finally turned in all the forms to be transferred into the program at St. Mungo's. I've got assessments all next week to see where I fit in. Time to crack the books again, I suppose. I always do better on practicals than on writtens. Poppy sent over some sort of documents about what I've done so it should all go well. I hope. It's only my entire future career. What could go wrong?

Got my dress for the ball with Hermione which was loads of fun. I can't wait to see everyone again. Everyone that lived, I mean. England will be a bit brighter when Hogwarts is up and running again.

At least that article was good for something. My supervisor, on the assumption that the Harry Potter is going to ask me out to the Hogwarts event has given me the day off. Yet another person that apparently sees this as social stepping stone. I don't think I'm going to correct his assumption - I'm sure that no one is surprised that it's a rather coveted holiday at the Hospital. I mean, we can hardly shut it down for the event. I suppose I'd best find something to wear. I would like to go see the school again and see some of the old faces.

So who all is attending the festivities?
